LuvTask Privacy Policy

LuvTask is operated by Alyara Apps Studio LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information LuvTask collects, why, and what your choices are. Contact us anytime at support@alyaraapps.com.

Account information. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-issued identifier for your account and, depending on your choice in that Apple sign-in prompt, your name and/or email address (or Apple's private relay email if you chose to hide it).

Profile information you provide. Display name, a nickname for your partner ("partner endearment"), and any personalization choices you make during setup (things you enjoy, love-language preferences) — these two preference fields also help LuvTask suggest relevant starter tasks and rewards to you.

If you add a profile photo, we store it with Supabase. Anyone who has its web address can open it. Your partner sees it in the app.

Content you and your partner create. Tasks and rewards (titles, categories, point values, due dates), a due-date reason if you add one, notes, and the resulting history of what's been approved, redeemed, or is still pending. Because LuvTask's purpose is a shared space between two people, content you create is visible to your paired partner, and content they create is visible to you — this sharing is core to how the App works, not a separate disclosure we're making about a side feature.

Usage and device information. Standard technical data our backend infrastructure (Supabase) logs to operate the service — timestamps, and information like IP address that any server necessarily sees to respond to a request. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token and use it to send you notifications about activity in your couple space (for example, when your partner sends you something, finishes a task, or approves yours). Apple's Push Notification service delivers them.

Purchase information. If you buy LuvTask Premium (a subscription or the one-time LuvTask Forever purchase), Apple's App Store handles the payment. We use RevenueCat to check and record your purchase: it receives your LuvTask account identifier and Apple's purchase records (which product, when, and whether it is active). We never see or store your card details. Premium belongs to your couple, so your paired partner can see that your couple has Premium.

Widgets and Apple Watch. If you add a LuvTask widget or use the LuvTask Apple Watch app, a small amount of your couple's data is stored on your own devices: for the widget, things like your streak and your first names; for the watch, also your open tasks. This is what lets the widget and the watch show them. The watch signs in to your account through your iPhone.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, ad-tracking SDKs, or analytics platforms that build advertising profiles. We don't sell your personal information.

To operate the core features (pairing, tasks, rewards, streaks, badges), to let you recover or manage your account, to send the notifications you allow, to process purchases through Apple and RevenueCat, and to respond if you contact support.

Supabase, our backend database, authentication, and file-storage provider, processes and stores the data above on our behalf under its own data-processing terms. Apple handles sign-in, purchases, and push-notification delivery. RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription status on our behalf under its own data-processing terms. Your paired partner sees the shared content described in Section 2 — that visibility is the product, and it is not something you can grant to us to withhold from them once you're paired. We do not share your information with any other third party, and we do not sell it.

Delete your account. In the App, go to the Us tab → Account → Delete my account, or contact us at support@alyaraapps.com, and we'll delete your account and personal profile fields (name, contact info) within a reasonable time. To protect your partner's own history, your account is unlinked and anonymized rather than fully erased from shared records — completed tasks/rewards your partner can still see will show an anonymized former-partner placeholder instead of your name, so their own history isn't destroyed by your departure. We delete your profile photo when you delete your account.

Edit or remove content. You can edit your profile and remove tasks/rewards you created directly in the App.

Notifications. You control notification permission through your device's Settings at any time.

We rely on Supabase's infrastructure security (encryption in transit, access controls scoped so each couple's data is only reachable by that couple's own accounts) and Apple's platform security for sign-in and payments. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you transmit to us.

LuvTask is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under that age.

LuvTask is operated from the United States. The information described in "What we collect" is processed and stored on servers located in the United States, through our infrastructure provider, Supabase. If you use LuvTask from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your own country. By using the App, you consent to that transfer and processing. We take the same reasonable steps to protect your information wherever it is processed (see "How we protect your data").

We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in-app.
